Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Becosy uses cookies and similar technologies — including browser storage — on becosy.uk, and how you can control them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function correctly, remember your preferences between visits, and give us insight into how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Some features use your browser's local storage in the same way; where we say "cookies" in this policy, we mean both.

2. Essential Cookies (Always Active)

These are required for core site functions — keeping items in your cart as you browse, remembering your session, enabling secure checkout, and protecting against fraud. The site cannot function properly without these, so they cannot be switched off through our cookie preference tool.

3. Functional Cookies (Optional)

These remember small conveniences between visits that aren't needed for the site to work — for example, the products you've recently viewed so we can show them to you again on your next visit. This information is stored only in your own browser, is never sent to us, and is only set with your active consent. If you decline, the site works exactly the same; you simply won't see a "recently viewed" section.

4. Analytics Cookies (Optional)

These help us understand how visitors browse the site — which pages are viewed most, how long visitors stay, and where they came from before arriving — so we can improve the shopping experience over time. These are only set with your active consent.

5. Marketing Cookies (Optional)

Where enabled, these help us show relevant advertising and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across other platforms. These are only set with your active consent, and can be switched off at any time without affecting your ability to browse or purchase.

6. Your Consent

When you first visit our site, you'll see a cookie banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. No box is pre-ticked, in line with UK GDPR and PECR requirements — you make an active choice either way. You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie icon shown in the corner of every page on this site.

7. Managing Cookies via Your Browser

In addition to our on-site cookie preference tool, you can block or delete cookies through your own browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies through your browser may prevent parts of the site, such as checkout, from working correctly.

8. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our site are placed by third-party services we use, such as analytics or payment providers. These providers have their own privacy and cookie practices, independent of ours, which we'd encourage you to review if you have concerns.
